Update from the Tommy Tour

Hello!

Here's a little blog about what's been going on. We've got the SINGLE COMING OUT THIS WEEK!!!! I'm crazy excited!!! I can't believe it. I got a copy of it today in a proper cd case. It's crazy it's got like a barcode on it and everything it's insane.

We've also done some pretty mad shows recently. We played in Newcastle last night and main stage at Rockness at the weekend there. It was crazy. We had a wee room in a portakabin backstage which was next door to PLACEBO!!! Couldn't believe that it was mad. There was also a massage tent backstage if you wanted to unwind. We didn't manage to get one though becuase the lady was on her lunch break haha! We were on at 3:15PM and the sun had just come out it was awesome. People were singing along during our set and stuff it was mind blowing. Frisbees were getting thrown onto the stage and Matty had to stop half way through grab me by the collar to catch a tiny football. We got to listen to the gig back and everything in the big BBC truck. Thanks to everyone who watched us I think it was the best day of my life!! Then I did a radio session in BBC Scotland's camper van. It's really cool it's like a proper camper van but filled with gadgets and microphones, it was quite a spectacle. Was on hell of a day which culminated in watching Biffy and the Prodigy. Also the Rockness session and rockness live are avaliable on bbc.co.uk/scotland/music/rockness/ Good times!

Newcastle was really cool. Was really cool to play our own show straight after a giant festival. We had a great time. We were also joined by our good friend Ross Clark for the Newcastle show. He and his awesome beard have kicked the party up a notch and last night just felt like good mates hanging out playing music together!! The crowd were lovely and I sincerly hope to get back soon!!

Tonight were playing in the Kings College in London. Were all pretty excited. We've kept Ross Clark so he'll be opening up again. He's off galavanting at the moment warning people of the dangers of foxes! I can't wait to play. I'm getting a little nervous now! Should be fun.

We got a few pieces of really cool news this week I'd like to tell you all about. I found out I'm getting to go to Glastonbury!!! I'm getting to play in the orange tent. I can't believe I'm getting to go. I've never been to Glasto I'm proper excited. I'm also getting to see Springsteen!!! THE BOSS!!!

To promote the single we've got a week of instore's in Scotland. I can't wait to go back to Inverness, Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. It's gonna be fun!! Me, Iain and Brown Smoke are gonna be driving about some more in a people carrier having some good times. I'm excited so I am. We've been having an incredible time on this tour in England so it's going to be great fun to get back to Scotland.
Touring is great fun. Getting to see different parts of the country everyday is amazing. Didn't realise how different some parts of Britain can't be. We really are having the best time ever on this tour and I'd like to thank everyone for supporting us and making it possible!!!!!! Cheers!

We're doing couple of live seesions on Scottish Radio next week...
We're playing at 8 o'clock on Monday night on the In Demand show on Clyde 1.
We're also at Midnight on Wednesday the 24th on BBC Radio 1 Scotland for Vic Galloway. It's going to be really fun to let folk hear a good wee chunk of the album. Please tune in if you fancy hearing a wee live gig on the radio.
