A wee blog about stuff that's been happening!x

Ello'!!

Last week was awesome!!!
We did the instore tour playing in HMV's and also the Glasgow Apple shop. Thanks so much to everyone who came down for the wee shows and for making it a very special week. It was awesome getting to meet everyone and thanks so much to everyone who bought a record!!! I wish I could've played longer and had more time chatting to everyone but those bouncers were scary hahaha.

We had a really cool week. The apple shop show was very mad. Playing in amongst all those computers and stuff was quite different but I had such a good time! Couldn't believe so many of you were there!!!! We went straight from the apple shop to do a live clyde 1 session with romeo which was fun. He gave us beer and crisps which was awesome and a really shiny silver marker to write our names on the board next to the noisettes hehe. I decided to draw a picture of myself smiling to convey my joy at the live session, beer and crisps combination.
Inverness was next and we spent the morning up a hill next to the court. The sun was blazing and I almost fell asleep on a park bench. The show was really cool aswell. It was one of those shopping centres with one of those fuel smoothie stands so we got super smoothies and played darts in the staff room before the show. I am definately the worst darts player ever! Thanks again to everyone who came to inverness and made it awesome. We spent the rest of the night in pubs. We went to hootenanny's first which is ace and then crossed over to the market bar and watched billy play some tunes. We ended up talking to some norwegian folk for hours which was good fun!

The next day we had lunch in a scary themed pub in Aberdeen. ( If anyone follows me on twitter that's where that door in the bookcase photo was taken!) Then we played a show in Aberdeen HMV which was ace! We couldnt hang around long because we had to get back to Glasgow to play a midnight session on Radio 1 with Vic Galloway!! On the way we found five minutes to stop for Pizza from Antipasti on Sauchiehall street. I got this amazing pepperoni one which I was about halfway through when my mum phoned me. I took my hands off the pizza box to answer the phone and in that instant the wind got up and blew my pizza away into the street to be demolished by fat little seagulls. Gutted. Also the wind didn't pinch anyone else's dinner. Mine was in the middle on top of the car roof between smoke's and Iain's. The wind only stole mine. The joy of the bbc building made me feel better though. That is a cool place. I saw Jackie Bird!!! We also got to play live on the radio which was really fun!!!

Dundee instore day also had blazing sunshine going on, so we decided to play outside HMV in the streets of Dundee. It was great fun! It was like busking but we had a great big sound system with us. I had an awesome time so thanks to everyone in Dundee who watched and to all the confused consumers who didnt throw things at me for interrupting their stroll round the shops!!

The next day was edinburgh which was mental. We had the craziest schedule to adhear to. We had to get from the instore to an U16'S radio party hosted by the one and only Romeo from Clyde 1 and In Demand. At this rate I'm gonna see that guy every week haha. He's a legend! Also a very good Dj. It was hit after hit all night with Dj Romeo. (He gave me a free Brittania High record as a wind up) From the party we had to get to Glasgow to drop off the car and the gear and then get to the airport to fly to Glasto! The instore was amazing, the party was awesome and we were on time for the airport!! Everything was going well untill the plane got delayed. It wasn't all that bad because we just sat and watched the thick of it on Iain's laptop!

We eventually made it to Bristol to get some sleep at about 2am. We got up again at 7 to head to Glasto! Glastonbury is AMAZING! It's the sheer size of it that really hits you when you first arrive. We played to a bunch of journalists while they had their breakfast first off. Then we played in the Chill and Charge tent where people could charge their mobile phones!! It was really fun. I GOT TO PLAY AT GLASTO!!!! Even if I never get to play again I can say I've done it. We almost had a disaster though because Smoke forgot the guitar strap but we managed to make one out of his bag strap haha so that's what he gets haha!!!!!!! Then we rushed from our show to see spinal tap! The we got food and ran over to the other stage for Paolo Nutini!! He was awesome!!! The crowd were going mental. The day culminated in a mega set from Bruce Springsteen. I couldn't believe I was there. I was just standing there thinking this is totally amazing I'm at Glasto!!

Anyway so that's what's been going on!
Hopefully gonna have some new videos and live tunes soon and I'm getting my new laptop today or tomorrow so if you get a chance keep an eye on this kyte player session thing!! I think it means we can chat through the computer or something.........yaaaass!!

cheers
